Derek Molyneux and Darren Kelly are the co-authors of the most hard-hitting and comprehensively detailed series of books on Ireland’s revolutionary years. Their widely acclaimed portfolio includes: When the Clock Struck in 1916 – Close Quarter Combat in the Easter Rising; Those of Us Who Must Die – Execution, Exile and Revival After the Easter Rising; Killing at its Very Extreme, Dublin: October 1917 – November 1920; Someone Has to Die for This, Dublin: November 1920 – July 1921, and Tomorrow With Bayonets, Dublin: 11 July 1921 – July 1922. Lifelong friends and with a unique delivery style, they have also contributed to the Irish Times and History Ireland. Derek, an expert in Irish revolutionary and international military history, often appears domestically on radio panels and interviews and internationally on podcasts. Darren, who is similarly proficient in military history and a full-time author/historian, lives in Essex, England.
