Ó Lúing, Seán

Seán Ó Lúing was born in Ballyferriter, west Kerry, in the same year that Thomas Ashe died. He worked as a primary teacher before joining the translation staff of the Dáil, where he rose to become head of the department. He was the author of books in Irish on John Devoy, Arthur Griffith and Jeremiah O'Donovan Rossa, and in English – 'The Fremantle Mission'.
