Henry, William
William Henry is a historian, archaeologist and author from Galway city. His books include ‘Hidden Galway’, ‘Blood for Blood: The Black and Tan War in Galway’, ‘Coffin Ship’, ‘Éamonn Ceannt: Supreme Sacrifice’, ‘Galway and the Great War’ and ‘Famine: Galway’s Darkest Years’. He is a former officer of the Galway Archaeological and Historical Society and the Old Galway Society, and a former director of Galway Civic Trust. He writes the weekly ‘Talking History’ column in the ‘Galway Independent’ and has written hundreds of articles and papers on historic subjects.
