Gabriel Rosenstock was born in County Limerick and educated at University College, Cork. He is the author / translator of more than eighty books. A former chairman of Poetry Ireland / Éigse Éireann, he is a member of the Irish Writers Union, the Society of Irish Playwrights, the British Haiku Society and the Haiku Society of America, and is an honorary member of the Irish Translators Association.

Gabriel Fitzmaurice was born in 1952 in the village of Moyvane, County Kerry, where he still lives. He is principal of the primary school in the village and is the author of more than thirty books, including collections of poetry in English and Irish; his books of verse for children have become classics. Gabriel frequently broadcasts on radio and television on education and the arts.
