Blood and Thunder Book Launch

Blood and Thunder: Inside an Ulster Protestant Band was officially launched Thursday, 10 June at the Omagh Public Library. Many thanks to Paul Moore, Alison McDermot of Carlisle Book shop and the Castlederg Young Loyalists Flute Band. Thanks also to the staff of the Omagh library and to everyone who attended on the night.

Also performing at the launch were singer Samantha, keyboard player Gordon Spiers and fiddler Matt McGranaghan, members of a cultural diversity group from the Tyrone-Donegal border area.

Derek Landy wins Book of the Decade

The children's book 'Skullduggery Pleasant' by Derek Landy has just been announced as the Bord Gais Book of the Decade. Voting was decided by an online poll from a selected shortlist of titles.

It's a Long Way from Penny Apples was successful in joining the top 10 shortlist in The Bord Gáis Energy Irish Book Awards Book of the Decade Promotion!
