Moriarty, Michael From 1949 until 1992, Michael Moriarty served with the Irish Army. He rose to the rank of Colonel and served in many of the worlds conflict hot spots as part of UN peace-keeping operations. Born in Bandon, Co Cork, and brought up in Listowel and Ennis, he now lives in Blackrock, County Dublin.
