Welford, Máire

Máire Welford was born in Dublin. She spent several years in England and Dungarvan, County Waterford, where she worked in Special Education, before settling in Mallow, County Cork.

She has had articles and short stories published in the Irish Independent, Woman's Way and Ireland's Own. The Black Bull of Ardalba was her first book. The second book in the Ardalba series, The Fiery Chariot, was published in May 2003.
