O'Donoghue, Florence

Florence O'Donoghue was the intelligence officer with the Cork No 1 Brigade a role in which he was instrumental in a number of successful IRA actions. After the War of Independence he tried to prevent the civil war and was a key mover in a neutral IRA organisation. After the civil war he served in the Irish Army as a major. He wrote or edited a number of books and edited several others.
