Brendan Foley is the founder of Seachange Training, a life and business coach, author and public speaker. Over the last seven years he has coached and facilitated some of the most successful people and businesses in Ireland, the UK and Europe, through his company Seachange Training. He is also a national sailing champion, having won the UK and French Overall National Champions with his crew, the first time such a feat had ever been achieved by an Irish team. His background is in advertising, sales and marketing where he held director-level positions. He lives in Dublin, Ireland, with his wife, two children and two dogs. He has written two books: The Yin Yang Complex and The 5 States of Success.
Q: Looking back was there something in particular that helped you to decide to write The 5 States of Success?
A: Yes, I wanted to capture and bottle some of the key success factors that I have encountered in life business and sport. The book started with the question ‘what is meaningful success?’

A: Spiritual books, Thrillers, Fiction, in fact any good story will grab me
Q: Most embarrassing moment?
A: Sitting on a boat in Croatia watching a plane flying overhead and realising that I should have been on that plane but never read the date on my ticket!

A: Italian or French food with a good red wine

A: Game of Thrones or The Wire
Q: Favourite holiday?
A: Heat, sea, sailing, scuba, kayaking, swimming...
Q: Favourite way of relaxing?
A: Dinner with friends, meditation, sailing.
Q: Who would be the first person you would invite to your book launch?
A: My wife Sarah.
Q: If you weren't pursuing your present career, what might you be doing now?
A: Professional sailor, scuba instructor, artist...
Q: Your concept of heaven?
A: Enjoying every minute on earth!
Q: Your concept of hell?
A: Never seeing the joy all around us
Q: Greatest ambition?
A: At the end of my days that I can say I was good husband and father, and that I made a real positive difference in the world.

A: Insight, Connection, Certainty, Vitality and Spirit and that when they feel these they bring Clarity, Empathy, Conviction, Action and Purpose into their career, business and life.

A: Life, people, the unexpected twists and turns that show us that the world is a good place no matter how bad we sometimes believe it to be

A: Have fun with my wife and family
